
The project DigCurV (Digital Curator Vocational Education Europe) <http://www.digcur-education.org/>, in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme - LEONARDO DA VINCI, has been officially launched the 1st December 2011. The project intends to establish a multilateral network to support and extend vocational training for digital curators in the library, archives, museums and cultural activities sector. It addresses the availability of training for staff to develop new skills needed for long-term management of digital collections being built up by cultural institutions.
The main objectives are:
FRD is involved in all the tasks and is responsible for the final project conference: it will be hosted in Florence and will be targeted at up to 150 policy makers and representatives of national and European associations with a special focus in those countries which have not been directly represented in the project consortium.
