    Florence is connected by two highways: A11 and A1 and some major roads Firenze-Pisa-Livorno or Firenze-Siena. 
    If you arrive from Milan, the best way is to take A1 Bologna-Firenze, exit Firenze Nord, and follow the yellow signs to Center.
    If you arrive from Genova or France take A12 until Viareggio, the follow A11 to Firenze, exit Firenze Nord. 
    If you arrive from Rome,  A1 Roma - Milano, exit Firenze Sud, and follow the yellow signs to Center.
    On the italian highways the speed limit is 130 km/h.

    Florence Airport (Peretola) is well connected with the most important European airports, but there are no direct intercontinental connection. Peretola is 3 miles far from the Center, and it's connected by bus, shattle and taxis. 
    You can also use the International Pisa Airport Galieo Galiei, but it's 50 miles far from Florence. Bus and train interconnect the two towns.
