In order to build on our successful work in digital culture, we are seeking to appoint one post at lecturer level to teach on our successful MA and PhD programmes, on possible future undergraduate programmes, and to conduct research.
The successful applicant may have expertise in any area of digital culture, but applicants with an interest in gaming, social networking and/or digital art will be particularly welcome. The successful applicant must show an ability to contribute to the Research Excellence Framework submission, and to contribute to the international excellence of the two departments' research and teaching.

One postdoctoral position is available in the Digital Media & Learning Research Hub, at the UC Humanities Research Institute, based on the Irvine campus. The postdoctoral scholar will collaborate in a MacArthur Foundation-funded research network on Connected Learning, investigating how new digital and networked media can support interest-driven and socially connected forms of learning. The postdoctoral scholar will be responsible for conducting ethnographic research on interest-driven learning with digital media, analyzing research findings and working collaboratively with principal investigators and others involved in the research network.

Assistant Professor* in Digital Arts and Humanities. The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences seeks applications for an Assistant Professor in Digital Arts and Humanities. Applicants will have a PhD, a research profile in Digital Humanities and relevant teaching experience.
